OGP Cares Joins the Live Like Jojo Charity Walk: A Step Toward Change

A mission for the Orange County community: “live life to the fullest”

OGP Cares proudly participated in the Live Like Jojo charity walk, an inspiring event that unites the community in support of local youth. This year’s walk emphasized the importance of health and emotional well-being among Orange County youth, particularly those involved in basketball and other sports. By fostering connections between athletes and advocates, OGP Cares aims to create a positive environment where young players can thrive both on and off the court.

The Live Like Jojo initiative is dedicated to honoring the memory of Jojo, a beloved member of the Orange County community, whose legacy inspires others to make a difference. OGP Cares’ involvement in this charity walk underscores its commitment to supporting youth programs and promoting healthy lifestyles. Participants enjoyed a day filled with camaraderie, exercise, and fun activities and giveaways.

Jordan Cline (affectionately known as Jojo) was born with mitochondrial deletion syndrome. Although he passed away on February 5, 2018, his story did not end on that day. His legacy continues on in the lives he touched and in the lessons he taught: make the connection, savor the moment, find the joy. Despite his mitochondrial deletion syndrome diagnosis, Jojo lived a full and extraordinary seven years….[S]omehow he just understood that each moment was precious and that nothing should be taken for granted.

In a grassroots, boots on the ground effort, our faithful group of friends, family members, and volunteers have been the energy and the drive behind the Live Like Jojo Foundation. This special group of people seek to ensure that Jordan’s legacy and his enthusiasm for life lives on. For the Cline family, it gives us a purpose for our days and hope for a better future, and it is in this way that we seek to honor Jordan’s life.

Events like the Live Like Jojo charity walk not only raise funds for essential resources but also foster a sense of community among young athletes and their supporters. Together, we can ensure that every child has the opportunity to pursue their passion for basketball and other sports in a supportive and nurturing environment.
